Default just received my "clear" european side markers...

via www.ctd-germany.com (see my album for additional pictures)

the clear markers look so much better than the factory yellow lenses on a white crossfire. the quality and fit is perfect...according to "ctd" these are a factory european chrysler part. the strange thing is the marker is raised about an inch but aerodynamic looking. the cost for the set with the US exchange rate is about $115.00 shipped. i received them from germany in about 12 days.

Don't the side markers on the front have to be yellow and red on rear markers?

Default Side Marker Colors

Jsisabella, you are correct. U.S. Goverment regs require the front side marker to be yellow and the rear to be red. Also, they must contain a reflective surface of a certain size. So.. The Euro side repeaters are illegal. One would probably not get pulled over for it, but the police could add on fines (similar to illegally tinted windows, no front plate, etc.) Thanks. :?

i had my reflectors on the front of my 02' M3 bumper painted white to eliminate the yellow (70% of bmw owners do the same). on my 00' 328ci i had the rear bumper i had the reflectors painted as well. many bmw tuner companies sell them pre-painted or clear for customers. never an issue. 99% of the police would never even pick up on it or even care. cheers!

It's not the police I'd be worried with here in VA, it's the annual state safety inspection. And THEN, the police can cite you at any time if you change a safety item like this after your inspection.

Hey andrew, what's that other car that you can see the reflection of in the first picture? It looks like BMW wheels, but I can't make out the body well enough to identify it.

Default X5

THATS AN X5 NEXT TO THE CROSSFIRE, NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT. ALSO THOSE CLEAR CORNORS LOOK NICE!!!> I WAS THINKING OF GETTING THEM AND PUTTING AMBER LED BULBS IN IT. JUST THE PRICE SOUNDS A LITTLE HIGH FOR SOMETHING THAT COST ABOUT $25 FOR ANY OTHER CAR. ILL WAIT TILL A COMPETOR MAKES THEM AND THERE CHEAPER.

i only replaced the front lenses...the rears are fine next to the red in the rear tail lights. the factory bulb is clear...if one installed a yellow bulb... the yellow would show through the lense.
