Question Quick tire question, Please help ASAP!!!

I just got a really good deal on a 255/50/19 tire and bought it. I just dropped the car to a tire shop to get them mounted. I know I have dropped my car 2" before and drove around without any rubbing issues and I think 255/50/19 isnt more than 2" taller than the 255/35/19s.

Please answer me if 255/50/19 will fit OK enough to get me through the winter.

Thanks.

Awesome! I had a slammed crossfire and I didnt have any rubbing issues. 255/50/19 is only 1,5" taller than 255/35/19. I just figured 1.5" taller tire shouldnt rub. I hope it is the case or else I just wasted 250 bucks

255/35-19 has an overall diameter of 26".
255/50-19 has an overall diameter of 29.1".

These are specs I grabbed from tirerack from the Blizzak LM-60 spec sheet.

BC.

^^^ that would be correct doing the simple math..... so it will lift you axel up 1.5" and fill your wheel well 1.5" more.....

yeah i didnt think of that, 1.5" from the bottom and 1.5" from the top. basically, the car will be 1,5" higher at the back, tires are goiing to be 1,5" closer to the fenders. Would that be correct? If so, being 1,5" closer to fenders overall shouldnt create any rubbing correct? :S

This site has a graet tire size differentiation calculator.
As per this site: Tire size calculator

Using the sizes you posted: The speedometer will read 60MPH when you are actually travelling 66.9MPH
11.6% too slow.
Also, would a large variation between the front and rear tire sizes cause issues with the BAS/EAS system?

Sorry about your luck 21. I'm hope'n mine is a little better. I need to get a new tire now! I've got a hunk of metal in a rear tire. The only thing I found close is a pair of 275/45/19's that the tire store claims came off a Crossfire. I hope they fit, less than 300 miles on them and only 60 bucks a piece.

Good advice Beaner. I have an appt. for a test fit tomorrow. I hope they work out. I'm go'n to order 4 new Conti DSW's next week. I hope to keep these for spares for times just like this. I'm hope'n to be settled on my wheels by the time I order the new skins and have everything, along with the stabilazier shock all done at the same time.

I guess it is time to put on some dark clothing and mask and let these crossfires out one night!
