Hood liner engine compartment
Has any one had a problem with their hood liner in engine compartment seperating, so it touches the engine?
Is anyone running their cars without hood liner, specifically a SRT6 no offence I think the engine compartment may run hotter?

I haven't run a hood liner for 2 years.
As someone that shows his SRT, the stock hoodliners are impossible to get looking actually good. I had plans for a differnt material but it just hasn't materialized. Forgive the punn.
The hood doesn't really get very hot at all and I think it helps to cool the overall engine compartment.

The rear clip was not bent up enough and so the rear was really bad and started to mark the cover. I bent all the clips to lift the liner while I was at it.
I used double sided tape as well which I pushed through a small slit I cut, but that did not work.
Thanks for all the feed back I just bought one online looks very nice, it was even on sale.
I'll let you all know how it works out or you'll be able to see if your going to Carlise PA this year.

I replaced my 2005 with a OEM pad. The problem with the other listed at least for me was that I had to remove the hood and being by myself that was not possible nor not something I really wanted to do. New OEM pads seems to be working great.
I removed my hood liner then cut away the anchor tabs. Then took the hood to a 4X4 shop to be sprayed underneath with hot melt truck bed liner. Didn't think to request a light spray dusting. Damn! They sprayed it a 1/4 thick, weighing an extra 50 pounds. Wasn't sure if the engine heat would remelt the truck bed liner, but it's been well over a year and still looks awesome! Squirrel Crusher

I thought those hood liners were something that stopped after the 70's.

Got this from never-Satisfied, theyre on ebay too for 79 bucks. didnt take my hood off to install it but needed an extra set of hands. The hood looked good without one but these are so clean and conform well to the hood.
