Default Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!!!

This weekend (and every other day of the year as well!) I wish to thank all of my brothers that served with me, before me, now and in the days to come. There are many people that support this country no matter who is in office or what the issue of the day is and only those that have served truly know what its like to offer up your life for you country and everything it stands for in the world. Whether your blood was needed to fertilize the seeds of freedom or not, you freely offered it so that all of us who live here can continue to live in freedom. Thanks to all of you!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend enjoying your cars and stay safe. Lots of idjets on the roads this weekend.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that there are quite a few of us vets in the forum. A lot of us older geezers are from the era when one could expect a "greetings" letter from his local draft board. There are more vets around than most people might guess. This weekend is about more than just a day off.

Thanks Jeff Uncle Al and all. It's the proper time of the year to reflect on our service and the forever friends that we made. I served 20 years in the Navy and would love to do it all over again.

To the guys and gals that are now serving and unfortunately dying for this country, you have my eternal respect and admiration.

Great words, Jeff! Yes, thanks to all who served and to their families who support them.

As much as I love to travel around the world, there really is no place like home.

Ha! You *know* I was talking about the good ole US of A!

But I have to admit that I was born here in So Cal, and while I've moved away a couple of times, I've always returned...can't beat the weather and the lifestyle. I've never seen that "The OC" show, but I can tell you that life is not all yachts and sports cars here. Well, maybe it is sports cars for some of us!
