Feminine color?
Hey guys. I took a buddy of mine out to a lot today to show him a XF that I am considering purchasing. Thing is, he said that I would get it home, then regret it because the color looks feminine. I said, ‘WHAT”? It is the silverish/bluish color. I’m not really CRAZY about the color (would prefer black), but for a good price, I don’t think I have the luxury of color choice.

Tell him that the silver/blue was the production-concept color and it was the color the company chose the showcase the car's body lines.
I looked high and low for a Sapphire Silver Metallic Crossfire. I wanted the cedar colored interior as well. Exactly like the showcar.
For the price though, I was happy to get my Graphite one.
I was expecting you to mention the Classic Yellow color. Inpiration Yellow as it is also called. It is not the sports car yellow men yearn for but a muted creamy pale yellow. But I would still rock one cause they are extremely rare.

Good point guys; very good points. Yes, I know the yellow you are talking about. Yes, I would say THAT color would be kind of feminine...not my taste at all, but it is still kind of cool because it is so rare.
Let's see, hmmmmmmmmmmm, a mini cooper or a Crossfire in Saphire Silver Blue..............???
I have the SSB color and it is a great color. Looks different in different lights........sun, cloudy, evening, morning, etc. Not sure why someone would call this color feminine........... it is in my eyes the most dynamic color the crossfire came in. I love the alabaster, the silver, the yellow etc. but the SSD and the red are amazing due to the metalic flecs that really set them appart. Color is of course a "to each their own" decision.... so if you want black, go get one. I wanted the grey but found this one and onece I saw it, I was sold. Had it out today (waxed yesterday) and couldn't keep my eyes off it. Part of it is the syle of the car and part of it is the color..........
Bottom line, it's in no way feminine, but don't buy one unless you like the color.

I applaud the efforts and dedication of the Marines and other armed forces but from what I've seen Marines(that I know) have an askewed view of the world.
He will always view salmon as pink.
That means more special edition 007 Thunderbird for us.

If you would have said yellow I might have agreed. Not for SSB. And not to step on any toes here, but the best combo on the Crossfire is SSB on the SRT Roadster.
When I bought a yellow Aveo, my friend gave me alot of crap about it, saying it was...well, not heterosexual.... I told him it was Lamborghini Yellow! That shut him up. By the way, up here in the northland, in the winter, a small car painted yellow is more noticeable and therefore much safer - studies have proven it. Seriously, YOU are buying the car - if you like the color, it's nobody's business!
The ssb will be easier to keep clean. I think black would be cheaper if that's what you want because most of them were black. At least it appears tha way.
I just got my SSB XF Friday, and I'm 16. That being said, none of my (admittedly immature) friends have called it "girly", "feminine", "gay", or anything along those lines in terms of color. In fact most of them really like it.

I was concerned about the lavender tint I saw in the Aero Blue I purchased before I realized I was man enough to handle it.
The mini s was a cool car to have when it came out but it's grown old. The crossfire just keep getting "cooller." In any color.

I get the impression he doesn't want you to get this car. If you did buy it, you would dethrone him as having the coolest car amonst your friends. And he'll have none of that.
