Dang Kris another CTC member has joined the Coast Guard. Just to let you know, all of the Coast Guard is law enforcement as well as military. Yes, the recruit training center is in Cape May, NJ. I've never known any Coastie that knew where they were going to be stationed prior to going to boot camp. Will you be attending LE school? What rate will you be going into?

I wanted to be in the CG... but when the doctor listened to my heart... it was over.
Tried to get into the Air Force, but those docs caught on as well.
Be glad they took you, you are on your way to what can be a wonderful career - and even if you don't stay in for 20 or more years, it will be a good foundation.
Thanks for serving.

On another note I hope nobody who tried and successfully managed to escape the draft is saying thanks for serving, that would be a bit hypocritical.
Hell no, we won't go. Ah, the good old days.

Now we let in war criminals who had a rough break at home. They then spend 10 years in court and appeals and then we decide to keep them as they would receive 'inhumane' treatment at home and nobody else will take them.
Their friends say they are nice people who are misunderstood. Yeah, like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot etc.
