Default Brake lights always on...

I haven't been able to find a good answer so here goes... my brake lights are always on but no warning lights on the dash are on. Also, the cruise control does not engage....I assume that the brake lights on are causing the cruise not to work...but no warning lights are puzzling. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

*******UPDATE*********** UPDATE*************

Well, the original problem was no cruise control and all three brake lights were always on. No other problems with the brakes were evident.

THE FIX: replaced the stoplight switch from Autozone for $22.99 and that was it. Took about 4 min, and bam, cruise control and brake lights worked properly. Who would've thunk!

Brake pedal switch broke or needs adjusted???? Try pulling the pedal all the way up with your hand to be sure it is not binding.

I looked up the switch in the manual. It shows it, but nothing about an adjustment.

There was a brake light failure last week, replacement cured it I believe.
There is no reason for a warning light or code, your brake lights are on and the car sees no problem with that.
