Default Need Help! -- Planning to Buy Crossfire

The lease on my car is up in mid-2005. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the Crossfire. But I'd like some feedback and advice....

1. I've heard it's not selling that well because people don't know much about. Does that mean you might get a better deal?

2. When does the 2006 model come out? I'm thinking in April 2005 to purchase mine and wondered if I'd get the new model year.

3. Anyone have the grey/cedar interior? I've only seen photos and it looks awesome. Dealer only had normal interior.

Hi, from my own experience, yes you can get a deal.. the 2005's are starting to come out now, which probably means that the 06's probably won't be out in April. I have the cedar interior and I love it. Most of the crossfires I see have the two-tone grey or all black, and I think the cedar brightens the interior up. Just my opinion, but you will love the car if you buy one

As a Ferrari fan I had to chuckle a little seeing your forum name...I hope your guys get the bugs worked out soon....I'd rather have a real challenge than ole Michael taking 17 out of 18 with Rubino in tow.
And I'd rather not have that f'in crazy columbian anywhere near those sweet red racing machines ;-)

Ok now on to your questions: I think the model year change will be somewhere around June from 05 to 06.
I think the deal or no deal will depend largely on the dealer in your area, as in how many cars do they have on the lot and so on.

My baby has the two tone grey interior, and that was the only one I wanted. My dealer more or less happily traded a car with another area dealer and brought her in on a flat bed.

I think the Xfire will get the market share it deserves eventually. DC has only recently begun running the occasional ad in print or TV.
Personally I would not be too unhappy if the cars numbers remain low........I like being special ;-)
Otherwise I'd e driving one of those Honda/Toyota/GM/VW and whatever else bland "we all look the same thingies"

agree completely.

i expect the car to age very well and to be kind of an extra-large cult thing. kind of like apple is/was in some circles. just understood to be a smarter decision. try it this way; i do expect a 5 year-old crossfire to be more valuable than its competition.

i will be real interested in what the retention numbers look like at 2 and 3 years. i suspect a high percentage of people will keep 'em.

Who is your current lease with? If it is with Chrysler Financial, keep an eye out for the next 'pull-ahead' program. In an attempt to retain your business, Chrysler Financial at times puts out this 'pull ahead' program where they make up to your last 7 or so payments if you purchase or lease another Chrysler Jeep or Dodge. That is what I am banking on in 30 months or so.
