The high price on this fire?
I know yellow is rare.... But it is not my favorite color. It is one of those hate it or love it colors. But what is up with the price this one is going for?

As far as paying that much for it? Nope. I got mine for $14K out the door (tax, title, Doc fees, etc.), 05 w/ 67K miles. Mines a Limited roadster. Great condition too. I could have gone down to Vegas to get a Red one for about $13K but I wanted the Blue one and the wife wanted to spend New Year's in Seattle.

I agree on the stable mates in the picture. Price based on the company kept!! We have his and hers and both bought with under 20,000 miles with hers(of course) being the more expensive at $18,000 with 9k on it.

Go man go if they can get their price so much the better I honestly believe the market has finally turned up for our Crossfires particularly the roadsters and even more so for the SRT configuration
I'm not talking about the drove hard, put up wet, 90,000 mi and up variety but the low milage well kept ones
Off a dealers lot in Dawsonville, Ga about 50 miles north of Atlanta, a 2005
Limited Alabaster roadster with appx 23,000 mi, vin #54xxx, in very good shape went for $18,900 (asked $19,900)
Think about it every day there is another 10, 50 maybe 100 people who becomes interested in our Crossfires and every week or so a few more cars bite the dust basic supply demand economics
I bought my first Crossfire(hers) in July 2006, 9000 mi, 2005 Alabaster Ltd roadster for $29,250 drive out from a Chrysler dealer it now has 78,000 mi and this is her second car purchased that same weekend a 2006 Chevy HHR fully loaded from top rack and sunroof down for appx $20,000 drive out with appx 19,000 mi and now has 66,000 mi and this was supposed to be her every day vehicle and save the Crossfire
Got interested in Crossfires thru the forum and was able to get from a first
owner a 2005 SSB SRT roadster(ours) with about 5200 mi for $30,000 even
in Sept 2007 not bad I thought SRT roadster for $750.00 more than the Ltd roadster with 4000 less miles it now has appx 17,700 mi and finally in summer 2009 bought another identical 2005 SSB SRT roadster(spare) with 4400 mi from an original owner for $24,000 that one has still has less than 5000 mi, sitting under a cover inside a garage with a trickle charger!

I believe it is one person who really wants the yellow roadster, and it does have great miles on it. When you see lots of bids, but meet the reserve, its nothing to write home about. It is what the Reserve is...that will sell it.

I am one person who is really likes the yellow crossfire.
It's definitely not the shade of yellow I prefer but it is rare within its own model series.
The pale yellow must have been offered in just a few years and it was only limited to the roadster. The color makes more sense when you consider old cars from the past; think Doc Brown's car from 1950's Back to the Future, also can be seen in GTA San Andreas. The Crossfire is a melange' of classic art deco styling and futuristic concept car looks depending on how you look at it.
I think the price is right. I paid $15 for a 23k mile coupe, a 14k mile roadster housed in a showroom in a limited color should be given a bit more consideration.
The Crossfire did not have a lot of color options, whether that's a good thing or not depends on your prefferences. The later/last models had much more interior choices but the exterior palate remained constant.
I bought my Crossfire not only because it was my dream car but also cause it was like nothing you've seen before. I am a freak for the unique; in a good way. So these limited run/test colors really inspire me.
Besides the yellow, my favorite of the available colors is the gold. Oh, the gold.

It really does look like it's in stellar condition, especially for having some miles on it, although not many.
That said, I bought my '07 Base in '07 for $19K. Unless our cars have gone up significantly in value recently, I can't see many people wanting a yellow roadster for this price. As someone said earlier, it really is a love it or hate it color. Most people would not prefer it, I would think.

The first strike against it is it's an Auto...Call me old fashion, but a two seater N/A Roadster without a stick and (you fill in the blanks)...lol...
Seriously, with low mileage, and if it's super clean, $18k is not that far off base IMHO.
I say this cause I gave a Chysler Dealer $18k for mine, with 12k on the meter, but you could eat sushi off of the engine or interior, cause it was that clean.
Keep running those prices up, it's a limited resource...

Their price of $19,900 is only $1,100 less than what I paid for my car brand new with a full warranty, and my Limited Roadster has Navigation (well, had Nav - I changed head units). Admittedly this car has very low mileage for its age, but still, that seems like a lot for this car.
