Default finally here!

got my new Xf..... really pleased, also got the entire front end, 1/4 bonnet and mirrors covered in the 3M stoneguard.... 12 years with BMW cars, first ever major change and I have no regrets. Also had the Pioneer AVIC-X1 installed.. changed all the orange indicator bulbs to Silver Visio chrome line bulbs... loads more to do, ordered the lowering spings, sony bluetooth and origin b2 radar detector system to go in yet... phew...

bmerfan:

Great pics!!!

I still think that SSB is the best color for this car....

I do have one question:

Why does everyone blank out their license plate number in the pictures????

And I assume you will be changing you name from bmerfan to xfirefan?????

added detail was also the UK licence plate holder, made sure it was colour coded to the car.

It's a known practice to steal a car, then replace the number plate with one from an identical machine. That way you can sell on the car and checks won't show up it's stolen.

Also we have speed cameras and anti-congestion cameras that automatically read your plate and send out the fines.

don't you just love living in the UK, if they tried to put up speed cameras in france they'd be burned to the ground within days!

Did you order those clear front side turn indicator covers from somewhere, or is that what UK cars come with? Do they stick out (bulge) beyond the surrounding surface? If stock and don't stick out, could you perchance check with your dealership and get a D/C part# for them (fronts and rears)? I'd like to change mine to clear with colored bulbs (see Andrew's pic and you'll understand), but I dislike the bulging clear ones that CTD Germany sells.

They are clear as standard here in the UK, but they do bulge out unfortunately.
