Question What tires should I get?

I want to get new tires on my crossfire. It has stock tires and wheels right now and I'm looking for some advice on what to purchase.
I do not plan on having the tires I buy for that long, as I plan to buy new wheels in the near future.
HOWEVER, I am looking for the best bang for the buck, something with decent traction, decent lifespan, and cheap price. I don't really care too much at this point, but I don't want some shitty Chinese tire that lasts 2 weeks.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

The Hancook V12's will fit what you want.

If you were keeping the tires I would suggest the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S

Yep, Hankook V12's are the best bang for the buck.
I got 'em, I like 'em.

If you don't need all season tires, you may want to look at the Hankooks. They grip very well for the N/A Crossfires, but not so well on the SRT-6 (from my experiences).

The hankooks and michelins you mentioned look like they are almost the same in price, is there much of a difference?

ALSO, have any of you ever bought used?

EDIT for itsky: I dont need all season, and don't have SRT, so looks like the vote is 3 to zip for hankooks.

I'm happy with the Hankooks. 7000mi on them so far with no appreciable wear.

If I had my vote between the two I always go with the Michelins. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S is an all season tire though. Back when I had my limited I managed to go 44k miles on a set.

On the front of my 07 I have a pair of Achilles ATR Sports....225/40/18....they are "W" rated & have a UTQG rating of 400.....I have put 35,000 miles on them & they have a strong 4/32nds left. They cost about $70 each from ONLINETIRES.com I have had zero complaints about them. Had I not purchased 2 sets of Blizzacks for the rear for only about $100 each (265/35/19)....I would have bought the ATRs for the rear ...about a $100-$115 each.

The Blizzacks...believe it or not look like 45,000 mile tires (year round) ...& the ATRs look like 40-45K mile tires.

So, ...2x225/40/18 + say 2x275/30/19 ....= about $370 + shipping....+ installation for the ATRs.

I put a set of the DWSs on the 08 ......to be honest....I like the way the 07 feels better???? Of course the 07 is a stick!!

I would consider General Gmax AS03s. I have them, love them, and I think they EASILY rival the hankooks IMHO.

I ended up purchasing 2 FALKEN ZIEX ZE-512s for the front at $107 each
and 2 FALKEN FK 452 in the rear at $175 each
purchased from discount tire. both tires are 40,000 mile tires, z rated, maximum performance, with 92 load rating up front and 96 in the back.

HOT TIP!!!
-Go to ebay and find "discounttiredirect" this is discount tire's ebay store. They sell tires for much cheaper as they are shipped out of their warehouse. they are listed as free shipping, no tax. what you do, is instead of hassling with shipping, print out the cheaper tire from ebay and call your local discount tire. Ask if they match the price. They should, mine did. Then you just take the print out in when you go to pay and you're good to go!!

-Also, look for deals. I ordered mine for this weekend, when they had a deal: buy 4 tires get a 100 dollar rebate card.

-Discount tire is willing to negotiate. For example, I found out the tires for the rear were actually more expensive on their ebay store than the instore price; BUT, what I did find, is that the same tires for a 20 inch rim were 35$ cheaper than the instore price at a 20 inch rim. I pointed this out to him and asked, "what can you do for me here?" He agreed to come down 35$ per tire for the rears!
Be assertive and see if you can pull some strings

Anyways, Let you know how much I like them after they are installed. Overall, happy with my pricing
Overall price, $464
