hello! I'm new to this forum . after saving over $1200 by fixing my window regulator and crank sensor on my own using this forum i had to become a member! thanks to all the helpful posts help!!! i need tires that would last me a long time, I'm on my third set of Michelin tires at $1,300 . i live in Florida and i don't abuse the car like i used too like when it was new, what tires can you guys recommend ? all the reviews had to do with driving on snow . thanks!

 

Looks like I'm gonna get close to 45,000 miles out of the Achilles ATR Sports on the front of my 07....no complaints. W rated, UTQG 400.....best bang for buck in my opinion.

They don't come in a 255/35/19.....but a 265/30 & or 275/30....= $100 to $115 each.....the fronts are only about $70-75 each. Onlinetires.com.

Will, do me a favor (if you already have the DWSs) & measure or have the installers measure the tread depth on the DWSs.....I put a set of them on the wife's 08 ....& after only 3,500 miles I'm measuring them as only having 8/32nds....

The "S" is still showing, but, I'm thinking they didn't really start out as having a 10/32nds depth as the spec chart on Tire Rack states.

The wear pattern doesn't suggest it's out of alignment & with a UTQG rating of 540 (warranty of 50,000 miles) I wouldn't expect 2/32nds to have already burned off in only 3,500 miles.

 

they wating on the back ones to come from out state so ill measure or stick a penny or something similar and take a picture in case i forget my measuring tape. by the way they told me 50,000 on the front but only 25,000 on the back ones keep that in mind!

 

I'm just thinking that right out of the box from TireRack....they weren't really 10/32nds deep....even though that's what TR's specs say.

yeah i paid $932 so its not a bad deal but with the gas prices at $4.17 a gallon plus i just washed the inside of the rims and notice i have threads showing in both of my front tires so im not driving anywhere soon ! i hope my back tires get here tomorrow. but next time we definitely should make plans earlier. thanks for trying to help!
