Default +1 for the RCM no-start fix

Got my 04 N/A with 17000 on the clock back in March of '10, DD - just turned 40,000 - aside from regular oil changes, only things I've done:

Replaced broken cupholder with bin
Replaced head unit with a (not quite) plun n play Blaupunkt.
Tires - all four, went with Kuhmo Spt's - so far so good.
Decided to ignore the no-heat heated seats.

Finally had the first "issue" - pulled into a stop n rob to pick up a Powerball ticket and the car wouldn't start - lights and accessories all worked, no crank at all.

Got a buddy to pick me up, got all the instructions of the "Mystery No Start RCM Repair" - grabbed my solder iron and an extension cord - fixed it in the parking lot in about 15 minutes, toughest part was getting Raghib to let me use one of his plug-ins in the store.

Worked as advertised, saved me a buttload of cash.

Yes, the solder the bad connections fix is a HUGE trick that most dealers and private garages would never diagnose. Kudos to whoever figured this one out! Saved many thousands of dollars to numerous forum members.

Way to go!
I just passed my one year anniversary of re-soldering my RCM. Works like a charm!
