Default My Custom Exhaust!

Hey guys, I had KC's custom exhaust in Ramsey, NJ put together a custom exhaust set up for me because I didn't want to go with the standard magnaflow catback, just trying to be a little unique. So we increased from the stock 2.25 inch piping to 2.5 inches from the first set of cats to the muffler. Then we went with a Flowmaster Super 44 Series Performance Muffler, 2.5 offset single in and 2.5 center single out. Finally, I bought cut off C6 Corvette Exhaust Tips from ebay to finish it off. In total the project cost me $304. $200 for the installation costs and $104 for the muffler and exhaust tips. I believe the magnalfow catback is around $500, so this was a win in my book. I'm extremely happy with the sound and KC did a great job on the welding, he is the best in NJ. Hope you guys like! But all opinions can be expressed

It sounds good but the tips look tiny.

The tips are smaller then ours and do leave more space and I knew that was going to happen. But I wasn't a fan of all the aftermarket tips I saw, so I decided to go with these and I'm still happy with the look of them regardless of them being a little smaller

There is no drone until you step onto the pedal to accelerate quickly. In the video when I'm driving back towards the camera, I'm in third gear crusing, foot not on the pedal, and you can hear there is no drone. But when your foot is down to accelerate quickly it opens up as you could hear from the takeoff. The guy who put the setup together even noted that he didnt think that it would sound good when I told him what I wanted to do, but once he got finished he was very impressed with the tone of the car. Even on the highway there is no major drone until you accelerate. Obviously the sound of the exhaust is more apparent then stock, but my radio is on most of the time anyway, so I can't tell that its anymore loud then stock until I turn the volume all the way down

I don't mind a muffler sound on when on the throttle. I don't want to hear the vibrating drone while cruising. Does it smooth out while cruising? I really enjoyed the sound on acceleration.

Like I said when you push down on the throttle you can hear the muffler, but it smooths out to be non existent once your foot is off the pedal or when your barely touching it to keep the car at the same speed. However, once you shift and the car goes back down to a lower rpm "mainly 2k" the noise and vibration becomes more apparent. But once back to prime rpm driving rpm for that certain gear "3.5-4k in my opinion" then the drone and vibration is gone once again. I'll take a video of me driving, with the camera inside the car tomorrow with it aimed at the rpms, so you can hear how it sounds with the windows up and no music down at certain rpms and when shifting.
