What else can go wrong???
In the last 3 months I have had my rear end replaced, air injection pump replaced, vacuum lines replaced, RCM repaired, and crank shaft position sensor replaced. Really glad I have a Warranty. I just turned 43800 miles on my 04. With all that has been replaced the car should run great for a while I hope. Just thought I would share what I have gone through in the last few months. Have a great weekend.
German cars can be a love hate experience. Been lucky with both the ones I have owned but have had friends call theirs money pits. Sorry for all the issues, hopefully they are over for you.
The expensive part of car ownership is when the stealerships get involved and replace parts with no regard to the cost to the owner, who pays for parts that were not needed plus the high labor cost to install the same unneeded parts.
These cars are quite reliable, on my '04 I put in a 10 cent diode and that was the extent of repairs in 37,000 km from new and finally a set of rear tires to pass the Provincial safety inspection for its sale, as they were down to the wear bars on the inside.
I have had no issues witb mine at 53k so far but i wont knock on wood. My E class had lots of nickela nd dime issues. Buddy had a new e350 thats been in for repairs more than its been in his garage lol. Luckily its all warrany work. German and reliability are almost oxymorons though. I sold bmw for several years and while they are great performers they are about as relieble as a Yugo.
