Default Checklist for new Crossfire pickup?

Hi everyone,

I have been reading through this forum for the last week and have closed a deal on a new 2004 SSB 6spd. I was wondering what I should look for when I go to pick it up on Thursday. This will be the first car I buy brand new (as the original owner). I know the production number on the car is 18260 and the production date is Dec 2003. That is the latest production date I could find here in Ontario, Canada.

I figure the radio should be ok... I may need to get the transmission fixed for the 1st gear problem if it surfaces.

Thanks in advance,
Dany

Hello and welcome.... I would discusse the transmission issue with sales and service before you take delivery.

Have them check the TSB to see if your transmission number falls in that catagory where it may be a problem.

Let them know it's a known issue with some of the earlier cars and ask what they plan to do if it happens to you. Also be sure to tell them it is extremely hard to duplicate as you never know when it's going to happen and how are they going to handle it...

Goodluck
