Service
Just picked up my baby from the dealer. Got first service and the recall done and the wind noise in the drivers window. All went well. The wing has a dis-coloration in the paint, and the body shop manager said he suspected that it was in the clear coat and had the paint guy buff it, that didn't work! He said bring it in for a complete repaint in Sept. I don't want a repaint, I said to repaint the wing seperately and let me be the judge of the outcome. He agreed and said to make an appointment and we'lll go from there! As for the service and warranty work, everything went great and the car was washed and filled with gas(was only @ 3/4 to start). I was totally satisfied, and will continue to recommend people to them.

Actually, now that I am thinking about it some more...a complete repaint just for a discoloration in the paint? That sounds a bit overkill...I would be wary of these people.
I have an extremely skeptical attitude when I hear trust and dealership in the same sentence.
I saw a profit breakdown on a car dealership business model once, and service, from what I recall, was the biggest producer of profit, followed by warranty service work. If they work on your car under warranty, they get reimbursed by the parent company, at a profit of course. So the more they offer to do under warranty, the more money they can possibly make.
Be cautious!

I had my rear bumper re-painted under warranty. They sent me to a local body shop that specializes in restoring classics. They did a fabulous job. Looks just like new and matches perfectly.
