I could swear someone posted the weight of the factory rims with the PS/2 tires mounted, he/she didn't want to unmount the tires to weigh the rims by themself. Should be able to get a weight from Michelin on the tires, and subtract, if we can find that post (it was MANY months ago).
Since the SRT-6 has a lighter wheel for additional help in 0-60 speed. I would guess light wt. wheels would help slightly. But light wt. wheels bend and brake alot easier BEWARE. And they don't guarantee that. My guess stock wheels 17-19 lbs front, 19-22 rear. Light wt wheels are under 15 lbs. The SRTs are probably over that because of factory LIABILITY !!!

So, did anybody finally figured out the stock rims weight? Most of the rims I like weighs around 23 lbs. Any suggestions?
How about that SRT6 rims....they said they're from a Ferrari Modena?

OK, I weighed them:
The 19" rim w/ pressure sensor - 29 pounds
The 18" rim w/ pressure sensor and Dunlop Winter Sport M2 Snow Tire at 32 psi - 47 pounds
The small quantity of pressurized air has some weight, I am sure, but I think we can ignore it for these purposes!!!!!
Hope this helps for whatever reason you need it....

My guess would be 3-5 lbs lighter compared with rear weight. That would mean if a light weight wheel 19" or 18" about 18 lbs would improve 0-60 time, maybe as much as 1/3-1/2 sec. The reason i say that is from previous wheel and tire changes on my other cars that changed my own throttle feel from the line. That was the opposite though the car felt a little slower because of more overall weight increase. And wider tire.

Time to get those SSR racing rims 15lb for 17's
Or go with some OZ superlegga's for 17's they are 15.4lbs and 18's are around 17. something. Talk about making a difference. Where are all the people that bashed me from bring this up a few weeks ago. I guess the TT's sparked speed interests  Now time to put some gears in it what does it have stock for gearing?
