Re: How about this auto insurance
Check the mileage limits you can drive, if any, that are on the policy. I'm an insurance broker and write classic cars with a company called American Collectors. They limit the yearly mileage to 2500, the car can't be used for anything other than driving to auto shows or just a cruise. If you stop to pick up a gallon of milk and the car gets hit they'll say you were using it for errands and won't pay. But even here in Brooklyn, NY where there's some of the highest rates in the country I have a 69 Caddy convertible with an agreed value of about $18,000 insured for about $136 a year.

I checked them out. My Liberty Mutual guy has them beat, with unlimited miles.

Coverage at state minimums for both a 2004 limited daily and an 2005 SRT6 occasional use came back as $461. And that was annual!
Does being a member of this forum or CICCI count as a car club? If so the rate drops to $428 |

I love taking it to work once a month when it is nice out or running over to a brewery/distillery/winery with friends in a 'nice car convoy' :D The rate is right, that is for sure, but I could NEVER consider a policy like this unless it was a lot older and not as much fun to drive... |
Re: How about this auto insurance
Wow - this is a good rate! Is this insurance the real deal?
STARTEDCOVERAGESELIGIBILITYOPERATOR $285 TOTAL ANNUAL PREMIUM Your quote is an estimate, and is based on assumptions of the coverages and limits that you may want on your policy. To revise your quote, change the coverages below and click Recalculate. After looking into more information, I am not eligible - my car is a daily driver. I thought since I drove only 7000 miles in the 18 months that I've had the car, I'd qualify... :( |
