Default Rubber Stops???

In the glove box, i found a plastic bag with four black rubber pieces with screws. Does anyone know what in the world these are for?

I haven't heard of that one yet. I cant even speculate what those are for. They sound like cabinet feet or something.

All I had in my glovebox when I bought my car was 3 empty German beerbottles. Probably why my cupholder is broke.

The four rubber pieces should have been installed by the dealer. They fit into holes in the frame where the xfire was strapped down during shipment. I took mine back and they installed them in 10 minutes. They prevent water from getting into the frame.

The screws? Perhaps the license plate?

When I test drove one that didn't have a license plate fitted yet the plate bracket was in the boot and a bag of screws in the glove box.

Saldous, you really ought to decide on which side of the pond you reside. Did you mean, "...didn't have a license plate fitted yet the plate bracket was in the trunk and..." or "...didn't have a number plate fitted yet the plate bracket was in the boot and..."

Cor! This forum really makes you sound quite cosmopolitan! :lol: :lol:

The license plate holder is not installed at the factory, the dealer has to do it. The one I test drove had just come off the lorry and hadn't been fitted. Thus it was in the boot.

Saldous,
Ok, "lorry" and "boot" must be different words than we Americans use. Have no Idea what those mean!

Boot = Trunk
Bonnet = Hood
