Life after Hurricane Ivan
After what seems likes months since Hurricane Ivan ripped the Gulf Coast, things are getting better. Hope everyone who suffered damage from any of the number of hurricanes this year are coping. Pensacola is slowly returning to normal but will be forever changed. I know I have changed personally and feel so grateful for what I have. Thankfully my Crossfire was not damaged from the tree that fell onto my garage. I finally was able to drive it some this week(although very carefully) Its not a car that likes a cluttered driving surface..Glad to have a truck as my 2nd vehicle to drive over the debris and tree limbs everywhere. Maybe the roads will soon be clear and the Xfire can fly once more. I want to say "Thank you" to every person who come to our area to help us in our time of crisis.(Many are still here) Unless you've had to wait in line for hours to get water or ice, you may not understand this. I was spoiled by every luxury as most of us are and suppose it took this to get a taste of reality. A person may forget how we take the little things for granted (power, water, ice, gasoline or your house)
Now the little squeak inside my Xfire is not a priority..Helping my neighbor cover his roof and saying thank you to everyone from around the US / Canada for rebuilding my town is PRIORITY... This may not be the venue in which I should speak on this subject but it reachs a lot of people. On behalf of every person in the Gulf Coast area, thank you. I hope to return the favor if ever my help is needed.
God Bless everyone and our country..
