#1. What am I missing? I obviously don't have the blow-up dealy for changing tires. Does anyone use them? But what about the right side cubby?

Also, the manual says to replace the tire goop every year (think that's right). Where is the best place to get a fresh supply? And does it have a model number?

#2. This is one of the two 'tabs' on the forward trunk wall. I gather it is for a trunk cover. If so, what does the cover attach to in the rear? I don't see any possible attachment point/points. Just had a thought - or does it attach to the trunk lid?

Where can I get one?

#3. This 'tab'/foot is in front of the seat rail. Is it along with the ones in front of each seat rail for a stop? If so, it seems sort of weird. That said, I imagine they unscrew so that if the seat has to come out, it would be a matter of removing them and 'rolling' the seat forward and out. Bet they're heavy.

 

The thing in the back is for the Crossfire luggage strap holder to snap to. It is the same as on top of the rolling piece of luggage. the strap holder snaps there and holds the bags straps. I think in your floor picture you are showing the floor mat snap, yes?

 

I would not use the tire goop as you say probably not good for tire pressure senors !!!! Just call & have it fixed thats why I have road service ins . !!!!!

 

Ed, thanks...but, what can road service do except flat-bed the car to the nearest tire shop? If you're in the boonies, that can be a long trip to fix a flat.

Is the pressure sensor in the stems or valve cap? All four caps were missing when I received the car.

I'm going to throw another question out: How does the XF react when either a front or rear tire goes flat? Most all cars react pretty dramatically when a front one goes, but not nearly as much for a rear tire.

I say this in that CA's freeways are in pretty rough shape. It is not unusual to go over a long patch of quickly and poorly repaved concrete, so that the tires start bouncing - not unlike having a flat tire.

There are 2 of those Tab/Foots oin the floor in front of both seats. Those are for snapping floor carpet mats, or Chrysler Crossfire winter "slush mats"

 

Forget about replacing the tire sealant canister
Simply go out and purchase a plug kit to use for a do it yourself roadside repair
Then be sure you have a portable air pump to re-inflate the tire

 

and some of the good looking hookers that he keeps around .......

I'd sure like to see one of the covers laid out with close-ups of the mounting points. Having a trunk cover especially crossed my mind when I received the bargain of the century XF luggage. If I was a bad, bad person I'd sure think that set of luggage must contain some really good stuff...then whip out my 'tire iron'.

Reference #1.

If I recall correctly the empty spot on the right is where the 1st Aid kit goes on European Crossfires.

 

The first aid kit is attached with the safety triangle to the rear of the trunk.
Like in this picture. A first aid kit should be easily got at and under a trunk full of luggage just ain't smart.

 

I like the aid kit location there. I will be plutting in some Velcro straps for this.
