Default Any mods suggestions & what how to achieve this center piece?

Hello all,

Hope everyone is doing well.

I recently started a project today and removed all the silver parts in the center of my Crossfire. Today I removed the cup holder and looking to buy the bin to replace it. During the week I am planning on painting all the silver pieces. The inspiration I have is the picture posted below. I love that vinyl/paintjob, but not sure what it actually is. Is it a vinyl or is it a paint job? If it is a wrap how did they install it as I have been told wrapping the center piece makes the buttons almost impossible to push after installation. I also love the shifter and the gates but they are too expensive for right now.

So my question to you all is how can I achieve this paint/vinyl, and is their any mods I should add to the car this week that needs the center piece removed because once I put the piece back on next week after the project is complete I am not planning on removing them again for a while. Maybe the picture below is Hydrodipping?

Lastly, is their any shifters or gates that any of you would like to share? Anything that looks nice.

Sorry if I sentenced any of this wrong. I am still new to all this, but trying to push forward and get what I want done.

Thanks all for any help. Please share any mods you all have mind.

I tried the vinyl wrap (going against the advice of many who tried it before me) and it just doesn't work. Too many compound curves for the wrap to form fit correctly and adhere to the parts. Also too little clearance around the switches and buttons. Forget the wrap idea.

I like that carbon fiber look in the photo but the only carbon fiber kits I've seen are VERY expensive (and may not even be available now). I think your only viable options are painting those parts or getting them hydro dipped. Several members have mentioned the hydro dipping thing but I don't recall seeing where anyone has actually done it and come back to share the results.

Maybe others will chime in here with more specific options . . . Enjoy your Crossfire!

I really like that. The gear selector really looking like it was made for the car and I have to admit I have tried the vinyl wrap and as said it failed.

"I have a 2006 Crossfire LE Automatic"

I'm a bit confused. What would you do with a shift gate if you found one?

Here's a tip to get the carbon fiber look. Duplicolor has a kit, it includes two cans of paint and a mask. If it's done right, it looks pretty good.
