Default My crossfire gets attention

I bought my car brand new in 2005. It always got attention. It was my daily driver for the first 5 years. I got lots of comments and questions from people everywhere I went.

The car has been a garage queen for the past few years. Lately I have been driving it all over the place. The other day I parked it on the side of best buy where nobody would touch it or ding it. I came out of the store only to find two guys looking at it and talking about it. I have no idea what they were saying. All I heard was one man say "it is a crossfire". I walked up and got in the car. They didn't say anything to me. They just continued to walk away.

Just thought I would share the story. My car still gets attention after all these years.

Thanks for sharing! Happened to me too...While we were eating at a local restaurant looking out the window, we watched as one of the servers coming to work noticed the car and sloooowwwly walked by turning his head and shoulders a full 180 degrees to get a solid look at the car while walking past it. It was a hoot to see his looks of admiration and confusion (cool car!who makes it/what is it?).

They were probably discussing if it was worth the effort to steal and part out, you got there just in time .......

Do the roadsters get as much attention as the coupes?

I have seen lately several new car models by Porsche and some other that really resemble the Crossfire especially in the rear area. I too think it has come into it's own. I get looks and comments almost every time I drive mine. It's a hoot!

I still get the looks when I drive the car with the top up or down. I still love explaining the story about the XF to those who ask.

I think all of us who keep our Crossfires nice and clean get complements almost on a daily basis. If you get a real car guy or gal that asks about the car before you know it 10 or 15 minutes have passed. It is usually an individual or a couple of guys making the comments. Once I came back out of the gas station and a guy was walking all around the car taking pictures. He never said a word LOL

About a month ago just before I took the car to a show I was going through a fast food parking lot and and there was a whole class (about 30) of high school stundents standing and talking to each other on the side walk. One guy looks up and sees my car and yells " look at that f...ing car. They all turn around and focus on the car and it was a riot. Love your car, can I have a ride, bet that thing is fast , thats a 911, no it's not it's a ferrari and on and on. Made my day LOL

Same here, here in Sweden it gets reeeally much attention, everytime i drive it people turn their heads, stay and stare, point at it and so on, and almost every time i stop somewhere someone comes up and asks me about it, what it is and so. Heard many people who thought it was a porche, and even a bugatti veyron from behind lol, most think its a mercedes though. It makes it very fun to drive when both guys and girls in all age groups stare at it!

There is not much in life better than having something that attracts the attention our cars generate. Of course we all know why we own/drive the crossfire. Nobody else has a style or the looks of this car. It is truly 1 of a kind and we are proud to own them.

Let's be honest it, a gorgeous blond with you in your Ferrari might get more attention.
So let's get real.
Come to think of it you could leave out the Ferrari.

Yes Doc but the car would not be getting the attention in that circumstance......at least if it's just me and the car I might get to talk to people staring at the car.

Well, could you give it to me then, I want a Ferrari. I'd like to have the LaFerrari but you have to already own 3 or 4 in order to buy one and they are all sold anyway. I'd settle for the 458 Speciale, maybe then everyone would stop looking at my Crossfire.

You really can't mix me up with Doc, he's the short one. I'm the tall good looking one.

The guy working at jiffy lube knew nothing about my car. I don't let those guys change the oil. I was just getting an inspection. I told him all about the car and he was amazed. Funny how "mechanics" don't know how to put the car in reverse. I always have to tell them what to do.

When I took mine to get it's oil changed, all of the mechanics dropped what they were doing to come look at the car.

I was visiting my friend in Pitts. We were gonna go down town so I parked at the parking garage across the bridge. While I was driving through the streets, everyone stopped to point and stare at my car. It was awesome. So him and I are walking down the same street I just got finished driving on and a silver saphire one drove past us. I own one and I did the exact same thing the others did.

I knew a beautiful blonde who had owned a Ferrari. She sold the car because guys would look at the car, and not her. True story.
