Smile New Owner!

Hi everyone:

I just wanted to say thank you. I have been reading the forum for a few months now. Finally, went and bought a Crossfire on Saturday. I am very happy.

Thumbs up Re: New Owner!

Thanks for the well wishes. It is a 2004 Automatic SSB with Cedar interior. I will have to remember to write down the Vin # sometime. =)

Unhappy Re: New Owner!

Hey,

I know I can probably find it by searching, but what would you guys recommend for a good car cover that is not too expensive? Anyway, I am without my car right now. Somehow, the paint on the two sides right under the doors was damaged before I picked up the car. Since it was night, I didn't notice. They are going to repaint the lower sides and the body shop will take three days. =(.

I have the exact same problem. My wife doesn't want to take it in though. She says it's minor and she doesn't trust the service guys. They didn't know how to put the license plate on when we bought the car. My only worry is if rust will develop where the paint has come off.

Red face Re: New Owner!

It sounds like you should get it fixed. If you live in an area that uses salt in the winter, that would not be nice. I am hoping the dealer body shop will do a good job. It is a five star dealer. I don't know how much that is worth though, since this is my first Chrylser vehicle.

The rocker panel molding (the piece under the door) is plastic, so rust shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, you are right of course! I am just waiting to pick up the car from the body shop tomorrow. I hope everything will look good.

Talking Re: New Owner!

I did get my car back on Friday, had to wait until 6PM though. The traffic home was awful. Finally, got some miles on. Very enjoyable weekend! Here is a pic.

the paint job seemed be be quite good. Unfortunately, the weather has been a bit cloudy lately. I am waiting for full sun to make sure everything is looking good.

This reminds me, anyone out there with advice for "invisible bra"? I am thinking of getting that. Any good installers in the Southern California area??? Thanks.
