Haven't seen anyone post any problems with their lighters, but there aren't many of us smokers around, fewer still that actually use the lighter.

I don't use mine all the time, just when my zippo is in an inconvienant pocket. But, I've run into some problems with it (having them look while the concole is in pieces anyway [see "Exploding Gear Shift ****" in tech forum]).

About half the time one of the two following things happens:

1) The lighter doesn't get hot. It does get a little warm, but not enough to light a cigarette, and re-depressing it doesn't help, cuz the trigger just pops it right back out.

2) It never pops out. Just get hotter and hotter, and I have to pry it out with my stubby fingernails. (Its surprisingly hard to remove when engaged).

Anyone else actually use theirs and seen problems like this? (I have a mid-3000's build with 22K miles).

 

No info on mine, sorry. I quit smoking over 6 years ago and feel like a new person. The best (and hardest) thing I ever did!

 

I just had my cigarette lighter replaced. It went out on a long road trip. I used it for the mobile charger, when I noticed that it wasn't charging, I brought it in. The whole unit went bad. Of course the dealer had to order the part, it took 3 trips to finally have it replaced.
