Question Brabus conversion in Kent

My local Chrysler dealer called me last week asking if I would be interested in test-driving the Brabus 3.8L conversion. It had been brought over from Germany for a client to try and he has subsequently placed an order. The engine conversion alone is £16k! for an improved 0-60 of 5.9 seconds – what a waste of time and money. Anyway I went for a test drive today and there is essentially no difference other than slightly more torque and an unnoticeable 0-6improvement; the car itself looks great with all the Startech goodies on it, but the above price excludes this. Anyone else had a spin in one of these and could you justify the cost? Would love to speak to the guy in Kent that has ordered this.

I saw the Startech 3.8 in August, but couldn't get a drive in it. I think that you are better off getting the SRT-6, or if you have that sort of money the new SLK350 is pretty desirable.

I think your local dealer shows some style bringing over the Brabus and contacting their local customers - I'd have loved to see the beast. Mind you I find the standard engine more than powerful enough and not much passes me on the M25.
