That's a good one, JJ!

Someone e-mailed me this anonymous persons plate:
(sorry, it's not a xf, so I guess it's off topic)

I don't get why there would be any value to that on your Plate?

I'd rather have the pigs not noticing me.

Dan, I interpreted it as "pigs-0, xf-10" or howevermany times he's speeded and not gotten caught.
I guess a lot of vanity plates have various explainations. I could be way off from Johnson's.

The purchase of personal,or unusual tags has become quite big over here.In fact the most money ever paid for a tag was pounds sterling 250,000,yes two hundred and fifty thousand pound sterling?????. That was for K1NGS this was a guy with an awful lot of money. I have purchased over the years several tags, but I have always had a deal and would never pay anything like what they do now.I am an Old Guy in my 50s so I have collected them long ago when they where cheep.
The P1GS O tag I thought was different, and it certainly gets noticed.I also have X5 JAJ for my X5.
I have X3 JAJ this is for my sons car. As you can tell from these tags I am a BMW owner also.
I am currently running a 645Ci Convertible.
Regards
JJ

Here in Michigan, we can get a personalized license plate for $35 above the regular registration fee and then to keep it, it costs $15 extra every year. So long as no one else in the state has what you want, you can get most anything on it (except profanity). Each state has a limit on the spaces you can use. Ours is 7. Sounds like you have to buy them off of other people that have what you want? If that's the case, I guess you pay on how badly you want it? That would suck, because everyone would think they have the cat's ***, and want a fortune!
Or is it different than that?

No thats pretty much it,if you own a tag with anything interesting ,its worth more than every body elsies. I dont think!!!!. People are people and sometimes if things are in short supply they get GREEDY.I suppose we are all the same we try to make a buck or two extra.
It is the same in Georgia for the local tags,as you are in Michigan I have a property there and my motorcycle tag is Cheep.
In the UK we have changed the way our tags are made up,and when you purchase a new vehicle the tags are not very good ,its pretty much impossible to get any sort of name or anything of interest.
