In Dash GPS Navigation
Hello to all. I Purchased a 04 Xfire about a month ago and I am totally in love with my car. I don't get to drive it much because I travel the country in my work. I have a lot to look forward too when I get home. Thanks to all who made post to the forum. I have learned so much. Since i got the car I have installed the Pioneer AVIC -N1. This unit is an in dash DVD Navigation system with a 6.5" motorized screen which slides out when I start the car. The unit also has a vehicle dynamics display that can measure the cars 0-60, 1/4 mile, braking, cornering and G forces. In the future I will purchase and install the rear view camera, that will display what is behind the car every time the car is shifted in reverse. This system is great and compliments the car. At night the drivers from other cars are always looking in to see what DVD I'm watching. I love it.

Saldous,
The Map Data is Better than most GPS systems that I have have used before (Hertz never lost, Ford expiditon). My system works great. Keep in mind that the data is loaded from a CD, so it is not the system itself that is bad. It also means that the data can be updated. Maybe the Data on the CD for the UK was bad at that time. Here in the US you can read the reviews at circuitcity.com or other sites. You will see the owners all love it. There is an N2 which is not widely available it has different feature it is not a replacement for the N1
