Default What are you using as a cell phone holder???

Hey Guys,

Like the title says... What are you guys using as a cell phone holder? It's a pain in the put to keep the phone in the center console and I don't like putting it in the door as it slides around... What do you guys use?

Ha Ha...

I think I will pass... I hate that cup holder... It's in the way of your arm, doesn't open properly... ect.

I would like to take a more professional approach.

I have the mount that panavise shows with a Nokia car kit for my phone. The phone mutes the radio and the radio displays PHONE and the phone audio comes out of the car speakers.
I don't hve any pictures.

aschrager,

Could you give me some more info on integrating your phone with the radio? Did you do this your self or have it done? What is involved?

I installed it myself. You can go to www.beckerautosound.com and order the wireing kit and the radio removal tools for under $20. You can also download the radio manual for the Crossfire. It tells you how to setup the radio to use with a phone. The car kit you will have to see if one is made for your phone. If you have a bluetooth phone you can get one from Nokia to hook up to the radio. Then you can keep the phone in your pocket and still use it.
It isn't very hard to install.

A shirt pocket works pretty well ... and I don't need to plug the thing into the power outlet since a good charge lasts me 3-4 days.

I bought a small leather pouch that slides in between my seat and the console. I can put my phone and sunglasses in there easily.

I installed the Nokia CARK kit and it works great. The installer provided the mounting bracket which connects behind the radio. See a pic here: https://www.crossfireforum.org/galle...cat/500/page/1

I have a Treo that I put a 2"x 1" piece of velcro on the back of and I put the reciprocal piece on the "bevel" edge of the console even with the shifter. I use the power cord plugged into the lighter and a hands free ear plug/mic. It works wonderfully, and I simply unplud everything from the phone and remove the phone to use it in the same fashion in the other car. It works great for me. (Hint; use the fuzzy side for the back of the phone since sometimes you put the phone in your pocket and the fuzzy side allows the phone to slide easily in and out of of your pocket.
