Hardly any '08s sold and they are basically '07s anyway. Looking for a good one of any year is the best bet.

At this point a well-maintained, low mileage 2005 is as good as a beat 2008, and relatively few 2006-08s were manufactured. Not much changed between the model years other than minor cosmetics. Drive train and engine are all the same (2003 SLK320).
