It happened to me thought I'd share.
1) I checkin to Renaissance Hotel, Malaysia, I refused to accept the "drive for you-to park and to fetch your car service". Nu_uh I'll do myself.
2) Came out of bed about middle of night, out of hotel room, down by elevator, to where my crossfire is, runs finger along the outline, alright its there.
3) ......
to be continued.

3) read under "Technical" in this Forum. See what other owners' experience. Whether did I experience as such.
4) read again and again, just to understand every inch of my crossfire besides having it everyday.

Did it also happen to you when you make a quick acceleration..you look at the rear view mirror waiting to see your wing go up and you find out you're using your other car!
I was lucky when I first got my XFIREX...I was on a tennis tourney at that time and I was staying also at the Renaissance Hotel in the Houston Galleria area and I have my XFIREX on valet parking. I can't imagine that the guys parked it right in front of the hotel entrance with orange cones surrounding it while another car..a white Lexus SC430 was just park in the dark corner! The guys did get a good tip afterwards though!

As for waking up thinking about your Crossfire! I've I had yurning feelings about different cars for years! SORRY it only gets worse! But does go away a little after you own it for a while, THEN you see another car you want and it starts all over again.!!!

I have washed mine after dark close to midnight just because it had bugs on it. No telling what the neighbors think. If I'm going somewhere and there is any chance of getting a door ding then I'll go home and get a different car (not the Vette though - I still have yurning feeling for it). I always park the car so I can see it from a window if possible. I'm that way with all new toys (I mean cars).
I'm am car crazy!
For me it was to see if I could make it through that 14in snow mound. I got half way through then the front tires were well off the ground when i was digging it out. Took me about 45 minutes to get it out. the snow was well above the fog lights. Fun stuff.
For me, it was killing me not to drive it in the winter, so I would just sit in it now and then, in the garage, and listen to the radio.
Now, in the spring it sits in the garage, spotless. I live on a dirt road, very muddy. The main roads are dry. I take it out for a drive, (because I can't stand driving a beater when it's nice out) and come home and wash it all over again! Well worth it! Also, if it's above 45, I drive it topless! That's awesome.

When you want to take a drive in the Crossfire on a nice summer evening even more than riding your motorcycle and being out with your buddies who have bikes.
When you look at that speedo and see 200... it puts a smile on your face everytime..
when you buy your crossfire gifts for christmas...
when a scratch on the car causes you to loose sleep...
when you buyout the entire stock of mobil1 0w40 off your local provider
when you look over to your passanger and consider him/her extra weight..

Now am still that cautious.

No more my daily driver and only be with it over the weekend. Travelling more often to another states/countries. Can't and won't park too long at my apartment's multi-storey parking lot. I have to drive and keep it safe in a garage belongs to my uncle in a nearby town(a country over the causeway). Still do read again and again.
Will be driving to my uncle's place tomorrow. And share a quiet long drive around the hills with my embrace. Yesss

When I had a rental Crossfire in Tuscon, and I parked it so I could see it from my hotel room. I was worried it might have been stolen or scratched, "A RENTAL CROSSFIRE"
1) You hope it doesn't snow today so that you can go out and terrorize the countryside!
2) Your wife is jealous when you drive the XF and she refers to it as your "mistress".
3) Waiting for the winding mountain roads to melt.
4) Love to stop at a stop sign so that you can hear your motor go through the RPMs when you take off again.
