Intrest check...custom made dead pedals for our cars
Interest check...custom made dead pedals for our cars
Back when I got my Contour SVT I ordered a set of custom pedal covers and noticed that no one made a dead pedal for it to round out the look, so I had a local machine shop make some for me. I ended up selling about 70 of them over of the years and wondered how this could go over here? I will have to measure it up and have a "prototype" made up for us and then we can talk price. I will not mark it up real high or anything, well, not too high as I'd have to cover my butt. I will have the holes made to be the same size as our pedals and will attach by velcro. So let me know, is there any interest out there? BTW, can we get this post put over in the other forums (roadster and SRT-6).

Anyway, I did notice one thing that might be a problem. The factory floormat extends up and over the spot where a dead petal would go. We have two options:
1. Make the dead pedal attach with velcro, as mentioned in above posts. Then simply attach it to the floormat. A very simple way to do it but I'm not sure how happy I would be with the result.
2. Modify the floormat so that it doesn't go over the spot. By modify I mean cut that piece out. I'm not sure if this is something I want to do but it is the only way to correctly attach the dead pedal.
I would probably just stick with option one. Although, if you want to do it correctly option two is the way to go. I am still all about having this made. I would buy one for sure!

Italian Mafia, your right, of coarse you are, who am I to question you with that screen name, LOL! Anyways, I'm going to have something made and then place it over the floormat, using velcro of coarse and then modding the floormat. I really don't want to cut it as it might start to "unravel", I just don't know.
