Default Alot of misc queations, need your guys help.

Hey,

Well I bought this 2006 crossfire because my Daughter went absolutely crazy for it and it was at a incredible price ....... Well i told her i wanted to go through it and give it a complete tune up and replace all the parts that could be a problem so it dont brake down on her, so with that in mind i could use some help on parts, and i greatly apperciate the help ahead of time... Thanks guys !!!!

Brake rotors front and back....... Needswings "Brembos solid set" or "Power slots set" ???? Which is the best performing and i belive they come with centric pads. Unless you all lnow of a better set? / brake fluid opinions

Lug bolts, now this is where i read the most conflicting info on replacments, some the tires are missing 1 and some are missing 2........ Ya i know...... Any 1 know where some decent quality replacments are ????

The previous owner spent more money hiding facts then just fixing them " example he used heat tape and taped 1 of the headlights in since he lost the retainer clip.

Now there is a rubber sleeve that surronds the headlight any clue on where to get a set? The set on it is dry rotted and weathered.

Anyways i greatly apperciate any help thanks guys, and if you know of any commonly flawed parts to look out for its greatly apperciated

You could check E-bay for a damaged headlight for parts?

the wheels as said before are not oem wheels so they most likely have tapered type lug bolts , u could go to any tire / wheel store and buy the lug bolts you need (just take one out of front and back as they may be different ) have them match your lug bolts.

And hope the correct ones are on there in the first place. I would take the car to the tire/wheel store to be sure I got the right ones. I would not trust the judgement of whomever was driving with missing lugs.

edit: PowerStop kit at Amazon not stop tech. I am blind and could not edit the post properly on my phone. There are a lot of options when it comes to brakes. If money is not an issue then needs wings can set you up with quality components. I looked into upgrades for our 2004 Limited and considered the stop tech drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pad kit front and rear from Amazon for just under $400 For a smaller budget look into our one concepts or brake motive kits on eBay for around $200 for all four rotors with pads. These are all zinc plated drilled and slotted rotors. There are cheaper kids for coded or just plain rotors if you don’t care about rust or having drilled and slotted rotors. I don’t recommend going with the cheapest options available on eBay… Try to find some reviews and determine whether the company is reputable. For now, I ended up going with Bosch quiet cast ceramic pads and having the factory rotors resurfaced. Ours has only 36,000 miles on it so the rotors were not wearing thin and we should not need a performance upgrade at this time.

how many miles is on this car? We just bought ours in October and stored it for the winter and are now getting it ready for summer driving. We are replacing all of the fluids, transmission filter, fuel filter, Air filters, spark plugs and of course the brakes and tires. When buying one of these cars it is important to look past the price and really determine the condition and what you’ll have to put into it to get it where you want it in terms of appearance, performance and reliability. It’s easy to spend thousands of dollars on maintenance and upgrades on a car with an attractive price tag but there are still some very low mileage one owner cars for sale out there with reasonable prices that might be a better option.

It sounds like you aren’t afraid to spend money to make the car right, which is good. I would strongly recommend a transmission flush and fluid replacement if it has not already been done. A lot of forum members by Bosch camshaft position and crankshaft position sensor‘s to keep in the vehicle in case of a breakdown. You can search www.car-part.com to find original parts from salvage yards across the United States and Canada. Many of them will ship parts and prices can be better than eBay. Speaker options can be limited other than adding a subwoofer and separate amplifier but it can be done and there are posts hear from members Who have done speaker and stereo upgrades. LED bulbs are pretty cheap with multiple options from Amazon and you can search this forum to find which bulbs to use in which locations. For now, I just replaced the map lights, license plate lights and running lights.
