Default Anyone Have the Cargo Cover?

I ordered the cargo cover for the back of our Coupe, but haven't really looked at it as yet. Has anyone installed one of these? How difficult was it and are there any specific problems I need to be ready for?

I have one on my car however, it was installed when I bought the car.

The mechanics took a while to fit it.

I think they said it was easy to fit the blind itself but the brackets were a nightmare to fit.

I had mine installed by the dealer. Took them several hours. Does work well once it is in.

How much did the dealer charge for the install?

Thumbs up Re: Anyone Have the Cargo Cover?

I installed it myself in about 1 1/2 hours. It is very easy. You just have to cut out the pattern that comes with it and make the holes where they show.

As I recall it was $45. Had a little laundry list of things done at the same time, like new dust free brake pads installed, so I might be a little off.

i have it and love it. this should of been standard equipment imo.

i also installed it myself...took about 1.5 hours as well. i would bet the dealer would be "no less" than 1.5 hours in labor...maybe 2 hours.

mopar part number # 82208889. retail msrp: $260.

i feel its a must have item.

I ordered mine from here:

http://www.wyckoff-mopar-parts.com/chcrac.html

$233.10

Between the Crossfire and my 300C-AWD, I have dealt with them on a number of occasions and have always been happy.

Just tint the rear window really dark like 15% and you won't need it!!!

the down side...any light colored items in the hatch area reflect onto the "inside" of the back darkened window (seen in the rear view mirror while driving).

annoying imo.

How big is the effect of reflection? Your cover is light grey, does this reflect too?

anything light colored will reflect onto the darkened window. the cover is dark gray...which creates no reflection at all.

this is the reason all manufactures now make the flat top of cars dashboards a dark color...it cuts down on reflection.

Do you think someone could make this thing themselves? I mean, it looks pretty simple. Why 2 hours for install. Not being cheap, I just like a challenge.

edit: OK, I'm being cheap. LOL.

I just ordered one from Wyckoff Mopar. I plan to install it myself. If I have questions in that area, I may post back. Perhaps I can do an illustrated installation thread using photos... we'll see. It will probably arrive next week or so.

Well then, I challenge you to come put mine in!

A bit too hot around here this time of year. For now I'm leaving it all in the carton and I'll have at it sometime late next month after things have cooled a bit.

The cover is a great add on. It is worth the asking price. I had the dealer do the install cuz I didn't feel like wrapping myself up to get in the back of the car to do the work.
