Rear stabilizer mounts
Hi,
does anyone have a source for the rubber rear stabilizer mounts. They seem to be no longer available over here in Germany. And they seem to be Crossfire specific for the coupe and the roadster – so not a SLK R170 320 part. ZH 27 – Roadster: 05099082AA ZH 29 – Coupé: 05142013AA Thanks, Markus |

Re: Rear stabilizer mounts
Borrowed pic of a rubber stabilizer mount from a N/A coupe. Installation position is turned by 180 degrees.

Check out this thread: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-rear-car.html
It was being suggested to use a universal replacement. That specific Energy Suspension bushing is available from multiple websites. Same size sway bar hole but larger bushing and stronger bracket. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...48078e23bd.jpg |

@Toolman and @Ronman
Thanks for your answers and suggestions. That after market solution is for shure not perfect, but might be the alternative to stock. @onehundred80 Yes, that is definitely a Mercedes star, but the number is starting with 193, which is not a MB model range. As we all know 193 is a Crossfire specific part. Have also reseached for other better photos, and it seems to be 193. We've checked if it's maybe a 163 part (W163), but the dimensions are different. Also did some research on the development and for shure there are some Crossfire specific parts on rear axle that are not borrowed from some other Mercedes models. @all Thanks a lot to all that helped. And if there are other solutions or ideas, please let me know. Regards from Germany, Markus |

Re: Rear stabilizer mounts
Good question. I don't know. Seems they needed a specific setup for the bigger wheels and different axle curb weight.
A.s.f.a.i.k the Crossfire specific suspension setup was made inhouse at Karman. So maybe the Karman and the Daimler Chrysler / Mercedes guys didn't talk to each other, because the project was completely outsourced to Karman. Who knows… |
