How do you prepare for the Crossfire Tail of the Dragon event? I hope your preparations are more tame than they are around the Emiro household. In July, I began ripping apart our well running 04 SSB coupe and swapping in a M113k. Got it running and still wringing out the bugs. Then my son took a shine to the perfectly well running M112 drivetrain from my SSB, as his engine was plagued with oddball small issues and vacuum leaks (the intake manifold was a mess).
My son, William (@QuadPrism on this forum) just turned 17. He began work about 7pm Friday, and by midnight, the engine was out.
After a very late start today, ~2pm, and with help from his younger brother, the engine was back in the car. (I took these pics today, soon after he was done pressure washing the engine bay)
And by 7:30pm tonight, he had it all back together, and is already driving it.
Very proud of him, and we're all looking forward to the event in less than 2 weeks!
