So where are the 2006's ?

 

I'm not sure if it's true, but I have heard from numerous sources that the 2006 was not manufactured per se', because of such high unsold inventories of 2005's. The 2005 got some cosmetic changes at the factory and was shipped as new '06.

If anyone runs across an '06 vin # post it. The number just before the X is the model year.

I would love to get my hands on the last unit to come off the assembly line. It might just happen this year, as DC is rumored to halt production soon if they have not done so already.

 

Sales are down -60% or so on this recent month for the XF.

My dad works for DaimlerChrysler and we are about to order an '06 crossfire limited. They did not start production, I believe until the beginning of April on the '06. This was due to leftover '05's. When we get the vin I will post it.

 

Hey baksdak, did you Dad order it through that special deal that is going on for employees who can lease a Crossfire as a 3rd vehicle. My Dad also works for DiamlerChrysler, and he is ordering one also, at a SUPER low rate. The real nice thing is that I will be the one driving it, since he needs the Durango this summer.

 

Ya, that is what he did...hopefully we can order it by the end of the week. He said they are only allotting 5,000 for this, hope they don't run out!! This one is for my mom, and he just got rid of his durango limited for a grand cherokee limited. I like the jeep MUCH better. I am selling my truck and getting my mom's car.
