Transmission fluid!!!
I’ve got a 2003 auto xfire, I know there’s no dipstick and the trans is slipping in 1st and 2nd gear, I was told to put sea foam or tranny slip fix but how would I go about doing that? I’ve looked on here for forums and videos but can’t seem to find it, is it possible to do that without having to take it to a garage? Thanks

IMO, what the car needs is what we call a "Transmission service" where they replace fluid and filter. Your car is 19-20 years old, it's way past time, this should be done every 100,000km at least. Most let it go until the transmission acts up, which seems like neglect to me. My car got all new fluids (ALL) in2016 right after I bought it, at around 31000 miles (45,000 km or so). In fact, it's pretty much time to do it all again. I would NEVER put additives in an automatic, just new filter and new fluid. As to taking it to a garage or not, that depends on your comfort level with the procedures involved in auto trans service. The Manual is super easy, auto not so easy. |

You could make a mistake like that, but I would not.

Re: Transmission fluid!!!
Youtube has "Nag1" videos but I'm unsure how pertinent to the Crossfire they are. Give it time, someone with hands-on experience will chime in.

See this thread and stop assuming you know more than Rob. Did you miss that he's been here since 2007? Did you miss his website? https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...uid-level.html |

There is. Rob knows the car better than most, believe that. DO NOT assume a veteran forum member does not know what they are talking about - if you are going to be like that, you are wasting your time here.
