Uses for OEM door sills
I have replaced my door sills with lighted sills and was looking for a use for the originals.
It appears one could be placed on the cross member in the coupe just behind the seats.
If anyone has tried this, what type fastening system did you use? Would velcro work?
Other ideas appreciated. I couldn't find any achives dealing with this question, but I may not have used the right search criteria.

Harold,
Where did you find the lighted sills? Just curious
...and if you don't mind me asking (you can say no <wink>) what was the price?
Thanks

You can get them direct from mopar. You can probably find them cheaper on line if you search.
The down side is they only light up blue... I don't think blue goes with my color combination.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do with the original door sills. Hang them on your wall in the garage. Save them incase you sell your car and want it to be stock. Then you can sell the lighted ones and recoup some of the money.
That's a good idea. If you will check my gallery, I have placed one of the sill guards where I would like to install it--not permanently, so I could still reuse them if I did as you suggest about going back to stock when the car is sold. I thought someone else might have already tried this and didn't want to reinvent the wheel. It may be a crazy idea anyway.
Thanks for your thoughts.
