Default Tire pump in trunk

I am still waiting on my manuals from the dealer, told me today that they are still on back order. Salesperson didn't know much about it, but how does the pressure pump in the trunk work. Has anyone used it?

Thanks.

It plugs into the power outlet on the right side of the center console.
