Exclamation Inquiry about the VIN structure in my car

My car's VIN is: 1C3ANE9LX5X031940.

Using the service book I deciphered that:
1. Country of Origin - Manufactured by DaimlerChrysler Co.
C. Assembler - Chrysler
3. Vehicle Type - Passenger Car
A. GVWR & Pass. Safety - Restraint System Active Front & Side Air Bags (CGS)
N. Vehicle Line - Crossfire (LHD -> Left Hand Drive)
E. Transmission - 5 Speed Automatic (DGU -> W5J400 Transmission)
9. Body Style - Specialty Coupe
L. Engine - 3.2L V6 18V SOHC (EGX)
X. Check Digit -
5. Model Year - 2005 ??
X. Assembly Plant - Karmann - Osnabrueck Germany
031940. Vehicle Build Sequence / Model Year Assembly Sequence

Position 10 in the VIN is "5".
But my car is manufactured in 2004.
What does that mean?
Does that mean the car was actually manufactured in 2004, but maybe late 2004, and it's a 2005 model...??

My Roadster was built in 2004 and it was sold as a 2005 Crossfire Roadster
MDH circled in Blue is Month / Day / Hour of completed production.
9th month, 10th day, 12th hour in 2004 it was compete and off the assembly line
The last 6 digits refer to the number of all Crossfires built and what number yours is from the beginning of production
Mine is 043466 so there were 043465 built before mine

Thank you, Valk.
But this is puzzling, because my car was first registered by the first owner in July 2004...

I'll check tomorrow, because it's late now - 10:37 PM in Poland.
The car is in the garage, and I'm going to bed in a moment.

So my car was manufactured on May 14, 2004 at 7:00 PM.
In July 2004 the car was registered by the first owner.
So what does the "5" in the tenth position of the VIN mean?

So the '19' stands for the 19th hour. So your car finished assembly sometime between 1801 & 1900.

I know there is a difference on whether a Crossfire is a particular model year between Europe & USA. But I don't remember what that exact discrepancy or definition is.

I have no clue. The tenth digit should be the year. I have a "6" in the tenth position. My car was built in August of 2006.
Maybe Hans was drunk when he was labeling yours?

This has been discussed before.. I believe Dedwards0323 is correct regarding the differences between North American and European manufacturers production dates. As an example I believe in England you could by a 2003 Chrysler Crossfire and in the US it would have sold as a 2004 model. One of my Crossfires is an 06 convertible limited but was actually made in 2005.

I still think Hans at the factory was drunk!
