Default FM signal

Is there any way to strengthen for FM radio signal? I only need a few extra miles. I'm trying to get 96.5 in new jersey from delaware. I get it strong in dover, but I'm like few miles from dover. I really want this station, delaware has no good stations. If I don't get lucky and pick up the nj 96.5 then I get some redneck station.

Radio Shack use to sell some powered fm antenna boosters. Might be worth a look.
Or try a place like Crutchfield, just remember you have the VW style radio plug...

Link to crutchfield product - don't know what it like but can you imagine that button in the middle of the dash!

edit:

oops just looked at the reviews - it doesn't seem to work - pity I was interested, some of our more remote mountain areas in the UK have weak FM signals.

They do have this. Link
How good it works, that I don't know but it couldn't be much worse, plus you could still listen to the radio with the rear defrost on.

I've tried those boosters and haven't found any one to really work as they say. Come to my house and I'll give you one that goes under the dash so you don't even have that stupid button showing. I live in Northern N.J. where the mountain/big hills can distort the stations as well. You just might have to get another stereo that has a better receiver in it. How about satellite radio? Just be careful in the city, the buildings can interfere sometimes.

Black SRT, This is off subject a bit, but, I just got to say, I like your animated gif avatar. Very creative and looks good too.

In order to get better radio reception with the coupe, I think you will need to find a replacement for the antenna in the window. If anyone finds a good external antenna that doesn't require a massive teardown to install, I would be interested.

First off thanks Ste7of1, and second the link I posted is an antenna. It just goes inside the car. Like I said I have no idea how good it will work, but I have a feeling I will find out sometime this winter. They have this one too, it goes in the window and its cheaper. It will probable require some work to make it look good. They are powered so I'm guessing they will work pretty good. Link for the window mounted.
