Wink SRT6 Coupe, Fixed Spoiler

When we picked up our '04 Coupe in September of this year, I saw several Crossfires with a fixed spoiler. I thought "yuck". I do not like that huge fixed spoiler. I really like my automatic one.

Until now, I didn't realize that fixed spoiler model is the SRT6 Coupe version. Anyone have one of those? Do you like the fixed spoiler as opposed to the moving one? I sure don't. It's so big and I think it ruins that smooooooth line of the boat tail. The automatic spoiler is one of the features that I love about my Crossfire.

Couldn't agree more about the ugly fixed spoilers. There is a thread somewhere which discussed the reasons why the fixed spoiler exists - no real conclusive facts but as I remember the best guess was it automatic spoiler might not deploy fast enough with the quicker acceleration.

I had a limited & now I have an SRT.
I must say...the fixed wing has grown on me.
I think the side profile looks more balanced. That's MY opinion.

I do miss the excitement of reaching 50+ MPH to see the wing pop up.
But when I step on the pedal...I quickly forget about the auto wing!

I think the visibility is may be a bit better with the fixed wing. It seems that way at least.

I agree with GoodEnough. I traded a Limited for an SRT6 despite the wing, but I now prefer the look of the fixed spoiler, particularly from the front and rear 3/4s where it lines up nicely with the angles of the body. As for visibility, I believe that the fixed wing is better than the automatic wing above 60 mph but worse at lower speeds because the fixed version adds obstructions that don't exist with the automatic spoiler when it is down. In either case, however, I have found that good adjustments of the side mirrors and the addition of a good aftermarket blind spot mirror minimize the visibility problem.

Hey, that sounds great! Glad you are happy about it. That's all that counts.

I have always wanted to put a SRT-6 wing on top of the functional stock one, to have a functional SRT-6 deployable wing.
