Exclamation POSITIVE and NEGATIVE on HEADLIGHTS_?

I am installing HID's again (on my cousin's CROSSFIRE) as we got them replaced, does anybody know which is the positive and which the negative to install bulbs? (I can't remember)
I searched on the forum and found:
DFWSBR said: 2 wire side = - and 1 wire side = +
but then NJSPEED69 said: -THE SIDE WITH TWO WIRES IS THE POSITIVE.
So that is confusing and one of them should be wrong.
All of you who have HID installed and have had no problems so far, which is the right polarity?
Thank you!

I believe I might have the same problem. My HIDs are scheduled to be here Mon, and I too have been searching for install threads. I have also run into the same dilemma. Any xfire techs still out there?

Just out of curiously, I haven't checked yet but why can't you just use a volt meter to check? I haven't even looked at the housings but I figured this would be the best way to find out what is right.

On German machinery the brown wire is ground (negative).

Thumbs up Re: POSITIVE and NEGATIVE on HEADLIGHTS_?

You could use a volt meter and that would do it. Checked with my cousin, and DFWSBR was right (why post something that is wrongż?):

2 wires = negative (black), 1 wire = positive (red).

Hope this clears the point for everybody.

CHEERS!
