Default Stock radio system

Does anyone know the brand of radio and speakers that are in the stock setup. My manual says it's an infiniti system. Is this true?

My guess would be that its an Infinity system seeing as that's what's printed on the front of the radio...

Seriously, its the Infinity Modulus system in a mobile format.

Sorry Bobs,
I don't drive the car. Too bad, it's my wife's. I haven't even sat in the front seat yet. Only a passenger just a couple of times.
Thanks.

The head unit is actually made by Becker.

Simon.

Yeah... you beat me to that... I was going to say, Becker makes the head unit on all the XFires and if you have a Limited Coupe/Roadster or SRT6 C/R - you get the Infiniti System, if you have the base coupe, you have blaupunkt stuff I believe.

Interestingly, Blaupunkt is 100% owned by Robert Bosch corporation. There are so many Bosch components on these cars.

Infinity is a brand of Harman International, which also make JBL, Harmon-Kardon, etc.

all systems are for the crossfire come from Becker, which is a Harman company. The speakers use some of the technologies coming from the Infinity home speakers (CMMD Drivers) and as such are branded as Infinity.

Too bad Chrysler didn't put speakers in the headrests like my Miata has. Much better sound. The speakers behind the seats are virtually useless (IMO, of course).

The other day, I turned on my radio unit with CD playing and volume fairly high. I put my ear to the "behind the seat" speaker and could barely hear it. I put my hand on the speaker and could feel a little vibration. Made me think I don't have them turned on. Just curious about it. I even looked for a control that would tell me those speakers even work LOL ...

The 'speakers' behind the seats are woofers. They only reproduce low frequency sounds.

In subwoofers, you're not suppose to hear it but rather feel it!

I understand that now, but the point was I wasn't hearing nor feeling much sound/vibration from them. Even with my ear close to the speakers, it was faint at best. When I placed my hand onto the speaker, very little vibration was felt.

It's not important, I was just curious about it.

Thanks!
