Question Re: pics of my modifications

They look pretty cool, but what are they made out of? What would be the price of these if you were to make them up for us?

So that's what it looks like under the hood. How much to paint the intake cover? Looks good grey, I don't think alabaster would work in that application. Did you have all the windows tinted? My three rears were tinted when I got the car. Going to do the sides as soon as the dealer gets my drivers door and window properly adjusted.

I also hollowed out the end cover also to fit the air intake I made.
I had all the windows tinted 15% except the windshield, over the factory tint. It is dark but I like it that was. Technically it is illegal here but oh well...

Thanks for the complement, Probably cheaper to have a local body shop paint the cover to save on shipping and possible damage.

Only one side has the intake? Nicely made though, you should make a heat shield though. Also the brows look nice. What are they made? Have any price in mind if you made them? I think they'd look good on my black xfire, but I have also thought about getting the lights smoked out completely.

Stryfox, your car looks awesome. I think that engine cover is beautiful. Nice job. We actually have almost the same car. I even have the same chrome grill you have. Now you need a little chrome mesh in the lower grills to complete the look. See my gallery, I think there is a good pic of my front end in there. Do you have any pics from the side showing your wheels and tint job? I was thinking about doing the same thing. Nothing like cloning your car, huh? Oh, and how about some details on your intake. I think that looks great also

I'll post some more pics later if i get a chance to take them. Oh and the intake is 3" so i felt 1 was plenty as there is no step down in size to the Mass Air Flow sensor.

I have plans for a heat shield, I want to find some material like the factory heat shield under the hood, just have not found the time yet.
Thanks
See the other post about the eyebrows, I could definitely do black, still trying to get an amount idea to keep the price under $75.

I have been looking for something like them and have had no luck.
They look awesome any Info would be great!
Thanks

Hey Carl,

That intake looks even better now that you can see it better.
Do you have a parts list for what it took to make it or was it custom fabricated? Also, how did you do you wheels? Is it tape or paint?

My lower grills was just a piece of ricer chrome mesh front auto zone. I removed the plastic grills and traced and then cut the mesh so that it fit nicely on the inside of the plastic frame. A couple of clear zip ties hold the pieces in there. I think you will like the results.

Some parts I bought online some I made, I'll put a list together and some info when I get some time.
The wheels are a tape stripe, Prostripe, I'll get you the part number.
Thanks for the tip on the lower grill, I'm going to look into it.

I actually got the mesh at Advanced Auto, not Auto Zone like I first posted. If you can't find it let me know and I will pick it up for you.

Steve

PS ever been to Delilahs in Philly? I love that place.

Cool we have an advanced auto around here.
Delilahs...Well I don't got to those errr ah places much but well uhhh yea...Yea that place rocks!

Knowit- The prostripe # is R53201 one roll will do.
http://autobodydepot.net/scripts/dep...sid=0101092627

I got it from our local autobody distributor but here it is on line. Same price I paid.
For those not following, this stripe closely matches the graphite and is a good width to stripe the wheels.

Ok I need to add more pics, I put in the eibach springs a couple days ago and it rocks!
I also put an a set of front rotex gold pads.
I just got some 1/4" stainless steel wire mesh material to make some lower grilles out of. I'll post pics of them when I'm done.

Here is a link to the pic with the new springs. It has not settled yet as I only put 20 miles on it when I took the pic. I'll post some ride height numbers when it sets.

stryfox,

Does the performance exhaust system make a big difference in the sound and performance
of the crossfire? I'm looking to do this to my car.
