I love this car!!
Ok, bear with me for a few, I've got a lot to say, lol. First of all, I sold cars for six years, being a car guy I tried my hand at it so I could be around cars all the time.I sold Infinitis and I honestly believe that they build some of the best cars on the planet. I'd previously had a 1986 Porsche 944 ( which I LOVED! ) having picked it up when we took it in trade CHEAP, it was a real creampuff even though it had 110,000 miles on it ( I drove it for almost five years before it succumbed to an engine fire, but that's another story, lol ). Fortunately I had my son's J30T ( he was and is currently in the Marines ) to drive ( another car I love ) until we got another "beater" in trade that I could buy. This turned out to be a 1993 3000 GT, another creampuff with only 110,000 miles on it. Even though the car was quicker than the Porsche, had more features, and was overall a nicer car, being front wheel drive just never sat right with me. I drove this car for three years without having to put hardly anything into the car when it developed an exhaust leak. A good friend of mine is a service manager at Hyundai and told me to bring it in to take a look at it ( I was now out of the car biz ). The exhaust thing was a minor fix, but he looked the car over, turned to me and said " it's tired, it's time ".Sheeeeesh, the car only had 149,700 miles on it! lol.
Well, lo and behold, they had on the lot an '05 Crossfire Limited, graphite w/grey interior and nav., with only 4,992 miles on it. They were asking $28,995 for the car, an immediate turn off. That, and it was an automatic, another turn off for me.Ok, time to find me a car.
Searching the internet, I came across another 1986 Porsche 944 turbo! WOW! An upgrade to the car I loved! Also, a good friend still at Infiniti called and told me of a G35 that they took in trade, an '03 black on black w/six speed, sport pkg, premium pkg and nav, wooohooo!! My Saturday was now planned. I drove 60 miles that morning to look at the Porsche which turned out to be a dog ( sigh ), so I drove back to see the G. I got there just in time to see it being delivered ( ouch! ). And I would have gotten that car had I arrived in time, it was gorgeous! The guy paid $29,995 for the car that I could've gotten for significantly less. Oh well, back in the hunt again.
I then decided to go to the Chrysler dealership to drive the Crossfire ( no stick to drive, but was pleasantly surprised with the autostick ). Even though I adored the look of the car, I never, ever thought I could own a Chrysler, but I thought that if the car drove half as good as it looked, I was gonna seriously think about it.Whoa! Was I impressed ! It wasn't a G35, but it was maybe eight or nine tenths the car, close enough for me! I wanted this car! I got home and started fervently reading up on the car, finding that almost everyone preferred the auto over the stick, which most found disappointing. Ok, time to search for a deal now. What do I come across? The one at the Hyundai dealership for $23,995! Holy Sh*t!!!! Long story short ( yeah right you say, lol ) I bought it! OMG!! I LOVE IT!! The purchase process was hysterical, but that too is another story, lol.
Sorry for the long windedness, but this car has me excited! I still can't believe that I own a car like this, wow. But, you guys can all identify, thanks for listening, John.

It is a great little car, like driving a big Go-Kart, it is that quick. I am glad I got mine even if I only drive it half a year. Go to my gallary a see what a friend has drown for me.
infinitijohn, I was struck by this car in much the same way. I was searching for a car to replace my tired Prelude when I saw that a Crossfire was available. The exact thought that went through my mind was ,"There's another cool car that I'll never get a chance to own." Long story short, I bought the car and have enjoyed every mile I have put on it since.
Compared to other cars, it doesn't do any one thing better than anyonle else, but it does a lot of things really well, which makes the whole more than the sum of it's parts.

Nice choice and I felt the same way too! There is more fun and intrigued in my XFIREX when I bought it than my experience when I bought my 911! Of course it's a Porsche and it's already a given minus the excitement.
Never have any regrets with my XFIREX and after 2 years with 20k miles of fun...I still love it!

And there's way more G35's on the road than Crossfires. The G35 is a pretty car but them and Z's are everywhere, how many of your car do you see? Welcome to the fold john and enjoy your Crossfire!

I have to agree about absolutely loving my Crossfire. It's been 25 years since I've owned a car that I was so wild about.
I bet I'm not the only one among us who finds it hard to take their eyes off this magnificent machine. I know I still find myself looking out the front window of my workplace admiring its beauty. This car is a true keeper. The kind that I know I'll love as much in 5 years as I do now.

I'm so crazy about my XFIREX that I only drive it every friday! I have to buy me a Mustang GT for my daily driving 'cause it won't hurt me to see it getting beaten up!
After all, you see Mustangs in every light!
