Swapping SRT-6 trunk lid.
Crossfirefastcoupe,
I am going to have to do some research into the feasibility of swapping trunk lids. First, there is not switch to activate the spoiler in the SRT-6 which leads me to believe that it may not be a straight forward swap. Also, what color is your Crossfire? Mine is graphite and I would not consider a swap that required painting. Give me some time to check into the specifics.

Darn our cars can only go 150? Now I've finally found something I don't like about the Crossfire. I was looking to do at least 175.
Well its all about personal taste but I too agree with the original poster, I don't care for the SRT spoiler. I'm not a big fan of the wheels either but to each his own. I sure wouldn't mind having the SRT motor in my car.

I (IMHO) like the SRT Wing. Having had a Fiero GT with a SUPER WING...the SRT is just a baby!
Anyway, you don't really need the entire decklid...only the deployable wing area.
The linkage, wing and motor and such are contained as a unit. The wing is the only thing that would need to be painted. The cover is grey and the linkage is black.
The SRT has the wing bolted to a flat plate that is bolted to the trunk/hatch in the same area. Again that plate (not the same plate as the wing on non SRT) and the wing would have to be painted.
I would think you could merely mount a MANUAL switch to raise/lower it, like a power antenna switch. No AUTO deploy, but a easy swap with function.
Anyway, without actually performing the swap (YET) I will swap my LTD Roadster deployable Wing for your SRT Roadster Fixed Wing.

Hey team... All i know is that my XF Roadster fin deploys at exactly 58 miles per hour. This is close to where it my be needed. Certainly it is needed at speeds above 90 or 100 MPH. Stock, with no performance adjustments, I have had this machine to 140 MPH...(and it still wanted to go) and I was happy to have the stabilization.
Still looks cool at an intersection without the fin down <grin>.
