Exclamation Wetfire!

Well I had an interesting thing happen today. We had a pretty strong storm front move through last night and when I got in my car this morning I noticed that there was basically a lake underneath the driver's seat. I managed to get most of the water out with towels, and I plan on hitting it with a hair dryer when I get home from work so the carpet gets nice and dry before the mildew decides to move in.

The interesting thing is where the leak is coming from. As far as I can tell, it starts in the corner of the bulkhead behind the seat and creates a nice little waterfall down to the floor where it pools. I have to assume that its coming in through the door seal somewhere but I can't see where. I called the dealer and I'm going to bring it in on Friday and have them take a look at it.

Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, please tell me what fixed it.

We had a heck of a storm here last night. A shingle actually blew off the roof of my home and put a dent in my crossfire roof...darn.
No water in car. Also no water in car from pressure washer.
Good luck, Not a problem on mine.
Hope this info helps.

Thumbs up Re: Wetfire!

Here's the after action report. It turns out the problem was self-inflicted. Apparently I mucked up the door seal when I was running the antenna wire for my XM radio. They re-seated the door seal and checked the window alignment for me. Total charge for the repair was $0.

The dealer, Pence Chrysler in Ashland, VA, did an excellent job with the car and returned it to me in better condition than when I gave it to them. I think they're going to get my service business from now on.

So far my Roadster Limited has not leaked, hopefully I will not jinx myself by saying this. I think I will take a ride over to Pence next time I need Service/Warranty work needed. Might be good idea to have 2 dealers that you can depend on.

That is a great news. Now I feel much better going to the dealer so they can fix my wind noise problem.
